I'm not sure how to remember all of what I have done since I wrote my last post but i'll try give you a brief summary...The weather in Barbados was lovely for the last week of our holiday and travelling back to England to the awaiting snow was probably one of the worst moments of my life, but the trip certainly made it all worth while! We finished our first week in Barbados with a dive. I absolutely love diving I think the most beautiful part of diving is being able to watch the underwater life in complete silence, noone can ruin the moment its just you and the beauty of the dive site..its absolutely breathtaking and Barbados diving certainly lived up to this. We dived at a site with 3 shipwrecks not far from the shore at Carlisle Bay it was amazing and we even came across a telephone and millian shoals of fish, and also the odd few seahorses. I am definitely looking forward to my next dive its the only time I can shut Nathalie up for more than 5 mins!!

We learnt alot more about Barbados in the second week, we gathered up the courage to give the buses a try and at $1.50 Bds (approximately 50p sterling) why the hell not! We took the bus down to Bridgetown which gave us the chance to explore the capital and visit the beach...it definitely increase our knowledge of the country and I can't believe how friendly the locals are, its unbelievable and makes the place so homely!! We ended up using the bus several times after this and even got on the renowned reggae bus which was an experience!

The best part of the second week was just relaxing and getting a well deserved break from home life, had a night out down 1st and 2nd street in Holetown on the Sunday which ended up a wild one as usual with Nathalie, but thats what holidays are for! We also went out for a gorgeous dinner at a place called The Beach House which was lovely, had a duck starter and a prawn curry for main, desert? no way we were too full!!

And that would be the end of my ramblings for this sensational holiday I arrived back at Gatwick yesterday as 8am after a extremely bad turbulenced flight lol to a lovely delayed train in the snow...ahhh here goes England.... hopefully just for another couple of months :P

Barbados Life....

Its the 4th day in Barbados and I don't ever want to go home! So much stuff has happened...we arrived in Barbados at half 3 on Tuesday, transferred to the hotel at which point we met "Bob" (not his real name but we can't remember it) who was staying at hotel with us and settled in to our new lovely apartment, which i could quite easily live in for the rest of my life, and then fell asleep :) Wednesday morning we woke up at 7am to be precise to the most beautiful day i've seen in a long time and went to get some groceries at the supermarket which is a short walk from our hotel, we then met our rep and organised some trips and then cruised down our local beach..

Turns out its a pretty famous beach is where celebritys all over the world come to stay at at the prestigious Sandy Lane hotel :O with guests such as Simon Cowell, Roman Abramovich and Tiger Wood's wedding!! Amazing or what? We came back home to an invite to a cocktail party at the hotel owners penthouse and we went and it was pretty cool, the owner turned out to be a extremely camp american millionaire called Arshad who owns the lushest property on the island Cove Springs which Simon Cowell is staying at on monday :O Think he fancied Nat abit which was kinda sick cos he was so old but he was absolutely hilarious. Had some rum punch (deathly) and had to swallow a salmon canapee just to be polite, discovered "Bob" was a pervy pervison who couldn't stop making inappropriate comments and took to following Arshad everywhere. We then went to bed about 8pm cos we were still jetlagged...

Thursday we literally sat by the beautiful pool alll day and got extremely burnt :(...A myterious knock on the door turned out the be Arshad who invited himself in to our messy bedroom and chatted for about 20hours but he sorted out free wifi for us for the rest of the holiday :P he also invited us to his house in Miami over new year and promised to show us the exclusive clubs...he also has an apartment at trumps in New York :O, he then noticed our uncle bens perched on the table and offered us free takeaway...LUSH!!... spare ribs, jerk chicken, potatoes, coleslaw, caesar salad and vegetables mmmm!

Friday we had a catamaran trip organised and it was absolutely amazing, the weather was lush (even though we were still burnt) and we made friends with the crew in particular a chap named Alex who was going to show us the "real barbados" after lol!! We also swam with turtles which was an absolutely amazing experience and the turtles were absolutely beautiful however i nearly got mowed down by one coming straight into me!! We then we went down to Carlisle Bay which was beautiful and had literally crystal clear waters!!

We left the catamaran with even more severe sunburn :(...and very red faces...but was still determined to go out, well i was maybe not nat, who had severe sunstroke! Got picked up by alex about 10.30 and went to Oistins, which was pretty good, it was basically a little market and then a stage with bajan people dancing pretty much on the street and little further up was the old cronnies line dancing etc was such a friendly place and we got extremely drunk!!...and then headed off to a club on St Lawrence Gap which reminded me off a club in 8mile or something with a more reggae twist but was amazing and met so many people, can't remember the journey home but was such a good night...however the hangover today has been awful! Will update you on more antics further sometime next week xxxx

Barbados in 11days....

Booked a last minute holiday to Barbados on the 7th December with my sister for my 21st soooo excitedd.....trying to find summer clothes to buy in winter is proving a bit of a problem though!!!  Especially looking forward to swimming with turtles. Look out for pics coming very soon xx

Happy 21st Birthday Charleigh Crisp....

Heres some snaps from Charleighs lovely 21st (which i lovingly arranged :) with the help of Sinead)...had a lovely three course meal...prawn cocktails starter, Thai main and chocolate souffle for desert yummy topped off with amazing cocktails and Charleigh's cupcake birthday cake...and then to Tiger Tiger for more cupcakes and cocktails definitely was an amazing night even though i'm sure everyone drank wayyyy too much xx

 

 

Newquay....

Hey just a little update from our little trip to Newquay as I haven’t wrote in a while, a whole 2 months :O, I thought I had nothing to write about but I had totally missed Newquay somehow? It was amazing soooo good!! was really nice to have a girlie (+ two guys :)) trip away for once and have a little catch up away from our busy little lives…the lodge was absolutely amazing and the weather decided to be nice for the weekend…manage to catch a few waves which I was pretty impressed with…Go me! And had a couple of amazing nights out with the last night ending up in a penthouse suite overlooking the whole of Newquay  :O with a Jacuzzi and 10 “hunks” and it was all being filmed for a tv programme on Sky One which is pretty amazing..…Anywho here’s a few snaps from the trip…..

Ooooo p.s forgot to mention I passed my lifeguard exam and have got a lovely new job at the Hilton :) xxx

My first blog :)

Thailand 2010 ♥

Been noticing quite a few people have a blog and felt quite left out so today is the day i start my new (private for the while) blog :) 1st August 2010!...the main purpose of this blog is so i can write write about my travels, I had an absolutely amazing experience at the start of 2009 in which I travelled through Thailand Cambodia Vietnam and Laos, of which I wished I wrote down everything that happened so I could look back at it in the future. I can't rewrite that trip as much as I would like to so I'm going to start now so I don't miss any of my future adventures...it won't be as frequent at the moment due to my boring study of maths at university but once I finish im sure it will be filled to the the brim of all sorts of encounters and tests of life!.

So where am I at the moment? No point dwelling on the past so a quick summary of this year - got stuck in Thailand for 7weeks in April/May was amazing!!! and went to Isle of Wight Festival see pics on facebook :)  passed my 1year exams :D etc etc i'm working a little at arundel lido (swimming pool) and moathouse (cafe) both extremely bad pay and no hours bad times bad times but it's ok :) start a lifeguard training course next sat and i'm very nervous and scared havent been swimming in years and i don't think im up to par atm :S really excited though because it's a good skill to have :S... for the bank holiday i'm of to Newquay :D then on the 27th of September I start uni again...and thats about it really. And my plans for the future as of now? I guess as soon as uni has finished I'm saving to take a huge trip to around South America after stops in Australia and New Zealand until then a few mini adventures maybe to some luxurious locations.

Now Ive updated you lets see how it goes on my blog, maybe i'll have some memoirs to write about soon :)...hopefully i can learn to work this thing?!? xx
